02 Services & pricing
Most car washes vacuum the carpets, wipe the dash and hand it back. That's fine for a quick tidy. It isn't cleaning.
We use commercial hot water extraction — the same method used on upholstery and carpets. Cleaning solution goes into the fabric under pressure, lifts the dirt out of the fibres, and gets pulled straight back out along with it. What comes out of a seat that “looks fine” is usually the part that convinces people.
Every job is done at your place, anywhere from Onrus and Sandbaai to Stanford and Kleinmond. We bring our own water, power and equipment.

Four to six hours with the windows down, less on a warm day. We leave the interior damp, not wet — over-wetting a car is how you get mould and a smell that won't shift.
No. We carry our own.
Usually. Odour sits in the fabric, so extraction removes most of it at source. Heavy pet or smoke odour sometimes needs a second treatment — we'll tell you upfront if we think that's the case rather than after we've taken your money.
Not always, and anyone who promises otherwise is guessing. Dye stains, bleach marks and old sun damage are permanent. We'll say so when we see it.
No. A valet is a vacuum and a wipe-down, usually under an hour. This is a deep clean of every fabric surface in the vehicle, and it takes two to three hours.
A couch absorbs everything — skin, oils, dust, food, pets, sunscreen. Vacuuming takes the surface off. It leaves the rest sitting in the fibres.
We use commercial hot water extraction to pull it out properly. The same machine, the same method we use on car interiors, brought to your lounge.
We work in your home, on drop sheets, and we clean up after ourselves — in Hermanus, Vermont, Hemel-en-Aarde and out to Betty's Bay and Gansbaai.

Four to six hours for most fabric. Keep a window open or a fan running and it'll be quicker. We leave it damp, not soaked.
We check the care label and run a colourfastness test on a hidden section before we start. If a piece isn't safe to wet-clean, we'll tell you and we won't charge you for coming out.
We'll work around it where we can. For fitted carpets, having the room cleared first means a better result and a faster job.
Most come out. Some won't — dye transfer, bleach, ink and sun fade are usually permanent. We'll give you an honest read before we start rather than a promise we can't keep.

Big Swing is a mobile deep cleaning business based in Hermanus, run by Kaid.
The idea is simple. Most people don't get their couch or their car interior cleaned properly, because it means loading it up, dropping it off, or booking someone who won't tell you what it costs until they're standing in your lounge.
So we come to you, we publish our prices, and we do the job with equipment that actually works.
04 Service areas
We cover Hermanus, Onrus, Sandbaai, Vermont, Hemel-en-Aarde, Fisherhaven and Hawston at standard rates, and run out to Stanford, Kleinmond, Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay and Gansbaai.
Free travel within 20 km of Hermanus. R150 for 20–40 km. Beyond that, we'll quote you.
We run scheduled route days to Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and Cape Town. Minimum booking R1 500.

05 Booking and payment
Message us on WhatsApp with what you need cleaned and a photo if you have one. We'll quote you back, usually within the hour.
06 The small print
Before we start, we inspect the item, check the care label and test an unseen area for colourfastness. If something isn't safe to clean, we'll say so and there's no charge.
We photograph existing damage — tears, burns, worn patches, prior stains — before we begin, and we'll point it out to you.
Some stains are permanent. Dye transfer, bleach, ink, rust and sun damage generally will not come out. We'll tell you what we think before we start.
Drying times are estimates. Cold or humid conditions take longer. Keep airflow moving and don't sit on furniture until it's dry.
We work on drop sheets and we take our mess with us.
